This medication may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this guide. Baytril Otic is a prescription medication FDA approved for veterinary use in dogs and cats. Baytril Otic is not for use in pets allergic to it or other floroquinolone antibiotic drugs or sulfonamides.

What should I discuss with my veterinarian before giving Baytril Otic to my pet?

Tell your veterinarian if your pet has had seizures or if the pet is pregnant or lactating.

How should Baytril Otic be given?

The usual dose of Baytril Otic (based on pet’s weight) is 5-15 drops in the ear 2 times a day for up to 14 days. Thoroughly clean and dry the ear before treatment. Shake well before use. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian. Do not use Baytril Otic in any pet other than the pet for whom it was prescribed.
